Students must attend at least (8) classes every month in order to be eligible for promotion which is an average of 40 classes, after Purple Belt an added (8) classes. The required classes increase as detailed below: The average time-in-rank for color belt promotion is as follows:
HI WHITE BELT - TWO (2) MONTHS (16 CLASSES)
YELLOW BELT - TWO (2) MONTHS (16 CLASSES)
HI YELLOW - FOUR (4) MONTHS (32 CLASSES)
GREEN BELT - FOUR (4) MONTHS (32 CLASSES)
HI GREEN BELT - FOUR (4) MONTHS (32 CLASSES)
BLUE BELT - FOUR (4) MONTHS (32 CLASSES)
HI BLUE BELT- FOUR (4) MONTHS (32 CLASSES)
PURPLE BELT - FOUR (4) MONTHS (32 CLASSES)
HI PURPLE BELT - FOUR (4) MONTHS (32 CLASSES)
BROWN BELT - SIX (6) MONTHS (48 CLASSES)
HI BROWN - SIX (6) MONTHS (48 CLASSES)
BLACK BELT - ONE (1) YEAR (96 CLASSES)
